MEALTIME ENVIRONMENT AND PRACTICE
To guide everyday mealtime routines and set-ups, support children’s participation and self-regulation, and reflect on mealtime practices as part of ongoing quality improvement.
MENU AND MEAL QUALITY
To understand how menus and meals support children’s nutrition, offer food and drinks across the day in line with the menu, and contribute feedback on how meals are working for children
FOOD EDUCATION
To plan and program safe and engaging cooking and food preparation experiences and reflect on these experiences as part of ongoing quality improvement.
STAFF AND FAMILY ENGAGEMENT
To reflect on current engagement methods utilised with families, and understand the range of information that can be communicated to support mealtimes for each child.
SUSTAINABLE FOOD PRACTICES
To embed sustainable food practices into everyday routines, support children’s learning about food and sustainability through mealtimes and learning experiences and contribute to feedback on food experiences and sustainability initiatives.
