Accessibility

How accessible this site and the Guide are, what we are working on, and how to ask for something in a different format.

Our commitment

This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What we have done

A skip-to-content link as the first item on every page
Visible keyboard focus on every interactive element
Colour contrast checked against WCAG AA, with darker variants used for small text where a brand colour would not pass
Text that reflows to a single column on small screens without horizontal scrolling
Every download labelled with its format, page count and file size before you open it

Known limitations

PDFs are not tagged for screen readers yet, but are in the process of being completed.

Asking for a different format

If any part of the Guide is not usable for you, tell us and we will supply an alternative. Email BPG-ECEC@ecu.edu.au or use the contact form and choose “Accessibility or alternative format request”.
